The Swedish band Civil War have released their new album “The Killer Angel”. The founders of Civil War consist mainly of the ex-Sabaton members that asked Patrik Johansson and Stefan Eriksson to join them on their musical journey and head out to the fields of the world to spread a new sound. Their debut is called “The Killer Angel”.
Eleven tracks trying to convince you of the new project by the ex-Sabaton members and singer Patrik Johansson. You have to decide for yourselves wether the new Civil War album “The Killer Angel” convinces you or not. But here is what this album has to offer: The album is reminding of 80s hair metal with the high pitched vocals and the focus on the guitar riffs. Civil War are pushing through the album with the fast rhythms. The pulse of music keeps you going. The choruses are quite easy to sing along to. The lyrics are mostly about historic war stories, so not too innovative. The patterns of the songs are short and repetitive. The choruses are being burnt into your mind – so to say. “The Killer Angel” sounds as if it was a soundtrack to a Braveheart like movie. So the band name stands for what you get on this album. The Civil War album “The Killer Angel” is out now.
