Hailing from Switzerland there is the Rock/Metal formation Days We Are Even. The band founded in 2011 and now comes with the album “Himalaya”.
“Himalaya” it already sounds great by the title… a sort of hallelujah. Gives a positive vibe and when starting the album you immediately get a smile on your face and when you feel like smiling the positivity is just leverage for a great musical experience which you are about to encounter. It is catchy, it is somewhat commercial, it is shiny polished and yet we like it a lot. Simple, the band has it all together, moderate when needed, not crossing that line with the commerce but kept the vehemence in it and have the flow into the songs. You pick them up easy, the refrains are stuck in mind fast and with the guitarist adding a melodic frame for the songs the band has created a full sound that works. Then you must be surprised to hear this band is only a trio. Good and unexpected, leaves a bit of the uncertainty if their sound will be equally as impressive live, but that is something you find out sooner than later. Some extra credits for this band for the stunning artwork that comes with the album. A good release that you will keep playing for a length of time, so worth the investment!
