Rock and Roll man Luke Gasser is known for his work as film director as well as being a musician. This year he comes with the release “Retribution”.
A versatile man as it seems, that Luke Gasser. Though when listening to the album you can clearly find a strong line through the whole track list. The songs are good old rock and roll with raspy raw vocals. And that he is not into liking the polished and shiny comes forward also in the theme of the songs. In “Factory Girl” he is telling how he is waiting for that girl that doesn’t mind getting unclean, the type that isn’t the fashionista of town while in the track “She’s Got Balls” he tells about a girl with a strong attitude and how he appreciates it. That down-to-earth mentality will speak to many people. Also included is the featuring track “Horizon” in which Rock chick Doro Pesch is joining for the vocals. It may not be the most outstanding track on the album, but the name of Doro will surely interest some of her fans to try this album. They may be pleasantly surprised if the look further than that track.
“Retribution” is full of songs taken from life. Smokey bar atmospheres, the American roadtrip and this album are a match made in heaven.
