Jorn Lande was the singer of Masterplan for two albums, but actually is involved in various projects. In 2010 the Norwegian vocalist released an album with covers and in 2011 he brought a live album on the market. Anno 2012 he is back with a brand new studio release called: “Bring Heavy Rock To The Land”.
Typical Jorn Lande, an album like this. You would not really expect any different than this because this Norwegian is always very consistent in his sound. Hard Rock with a strong dose of power, a recognizable sound and songs you catch up so easily. In this release some covers are to be found, as we are used to from Jorn, but none of the tracks has the same strength as the Tarja cover “I Walk Alone”. Plenty of tracks to enjoy in other ways anyway, this release has its own treasures. “Time To Be King” that has a strong body or the slower “Black Morning” which shows the variety that he can bring. To the question if this is the strongest album that Jorn has made, you may probably have to think a little. Does not seem to have that killer track that makes you remember it straight away, but yet it is a great album in which Jorn shows he knows how to make music.
