Holmes is a band from Sweden that plays “Scandinavian Americana” according to Rolling Stone, which is basically something between Indie and Country music. They like to build up slow paced songs with intricate weaves of melodies using accordion, lap steel and piano. Founded in 2003 the band has released three albums and two EPs. Now Holmes released their fourth album.

Their new album called “Burning Bridges” comes with eleven brand new tracks. All songs are very calm and catchy. With a soft voice Holmes follows you through the album. The music is very emotional and makes you think. “Burning Bridges” is an album that definitely touches your heart. Like light in the darkness this album is shining on you, leading you through. All songs are in English. This new album “Burning Bridges” by Holmes is a wonderful album to relax to on the couch. An album to get through the rainiest days, alone or in company. An album that spreads hope when you need it the most. Eleven songs that warm your heart in the coldest nights. The Swedes definitely know how to get underneath your skin.
