The fifth album “Long Live Heavy Metal” of the Canadian band 3 Inches of Blood released in Europe at the end of March 2012.
It doesn’t matter how bloody band’s name supposed to be and how long heavy metal should live. Maybe the whole hour of heavy metal was not a pleasure. But the bigger part was and is really worth. Okay, the first track opens the album in the way the metal should be. You can picture the fallen bloody red curtains if you wish. A wild applause, please, for the absolutely amazing and gutsy track is “Dark Messenger”. The acoustic guitar intro and then shooting riffs ran up to hills. In addition wild powerful drums and the glass-shattering tenor make the song a treasure. And three final chords cut the edge. The album includes two only instrumental tracks: “Chief And The Blade” and “One For The Ditch”. The tracks clear and deep as waterfall. Any song on the album is something more or less metal. For example the classy power metal tracks “Men Of Fortune” and “Die For Gold (Upon The Boiling Sea IV)” include long guitar solos. And track that has the most rock atmosphere is “Look out”. The album deserves to be heard at least once. In the name of heavy metal!
