Stahlmann: To see the people as cold, steely machines that function in their daily lives and hide their emotions, is a perspective that scene pioneers Kraftwerk have been projected on our society. STAHLMANN pour the picture in her own personal artistic modern blast furnace.
For the band, 2010 was a very successful year: with their debut album “Stahlmann” they secured a multi-month presence in the official German club charts, a celebrated tour supporting Eisbrecher (#5 in the German charts) followed and Stahlmann`s spectacular silver finish quickly became a highly- recognizable trademark. Now “Tanzmaschine”, a song dominated by a pervasive groove that literally awakes the steel machine to life, is the first appetizer for the new album.
Their second album is called “Quecksilber”. Ten amazing tracks that dig deep. All lyrics are in German. Catchy melodies, strong riffs and an amazing voice. Stahlmann knows how to get through to the listener. One of the ten tracks on “Quecksilber” is a remix. So basically you have nine brand new songs on this wonderful album. The cover is impressive. Just like on the last one you can see a picture of the singer. Also in black and white again. This time the singer tears his shirt open. Really nice. For “Quecksilber” Stahlmann have worked with highly-acclaimed producer Jose Alvarez Brill, who is already known for his productions with Wolfsheim or Blutengel.
