Tri State Corner is a rockformation that started in 2004. Their origins are from different places but together the band tells their story on the album “Historia” which got released in 2011.
“Historia” is a typical rock album. It has the catchy side that will attract many people and it has the harder rocking side that gives it a body. You would say that the band sounds like an ordinary rock band like there are many but as a little extra you can hear the sound of the Greek instrument called bouzouki. It surely brings some variance on the music, but overall the band has indeed not the sound you haven’t heard before. Who needs that, they bring it well, the compositions simply work well and the album self has variance in it which keeps you listening for a long time. Whatever this band may need is an own face that sets their own character more forward. As the sound is now, it is pleasant to listen to but you cannot really recall anything that is so specifically different than what already exists. This makes it harder for people to remember the name, which is a shame as the band has its potential.
