“Beggars & Thieves” is an American band formed in 1989. So there is a long story of loss, bad luck and heartbreaks. “We Are The Brokenhearted” is the fourth studio album of the band.
Attention: prepare the handkerchiefs before listening to the album. The reason is obvious. The feeling of sadness or just “brokenhearted” theme runs through the entire album. So there are strong and dreamy lyrics accompanied by beautiful melancholic music. There’s often no reason for feeling blue, so we sometimes blame it on everything.
Ten tracks are brilliant on their own way. But I point three last tracks especially. Cos the most wide emotions here. Symphonic orchestra brought the sad melody more dramatic effect. “Wash away” provides a fountain of tears pouring down the face. “The midnight blue” will stick in your head with refrain “in the midnight blue” and crying piano after other equipment has faded. And “We are the brokenhearted” is the kind of anthems describing the sadly truth of living on this planet and remaining that dreams are not forbidden.
For everyone whom hearts haven’t been broken yet, this album will make his dirty work to tear your heart apart. So, hey, cheer up! Never give up!
