Marionette has injected new light and energy into the Swedish metal genre since bursting onto the scene with its debut album Spite (2008). Building on the multiple successes brought on by high profile European tours in support of Enemies (2009), Marionette will self-release its magnum opus, Nerve, in November 2011 worldwide. Immediately thereafter the band will hit the road with fellow Swedes Dead By April on “The SlaughTour 2011” enabling audiences across Europe and the UK to experience Marionette’s most challenging, dynamic, and aggressive material to date first hand.
“Nerve” is their third album. It comes with fourteen songs. Dark and growling the Swedes push you through the album. The fast double kick on the drums pushes even harder. Some songs have more melody than others, like “Revelation 6:8” for example. Next to a biblical name as song title there is also a Swedish title on the album. The last two tracks “Overdose” and “The Sun, The Skies, The Clarity And Light” are only included on the physical album. “Nerve” is a great metal album that definitely hits a raw nerve in one or the other of you guys. If you are a true metal fan, go get Marionette’s new album “Nerve” now!
