Neo is a formation making EBM/Industrial music. Anno 2011 the album “Sindustrial” get released, it is Neo’s first release.
“Sindustrial” is not as fast as expected. Perhaps when it comes to this each has their own expectations, but somehow the album art and the description given had given the idea that there would be something more evil, more intense would come out of that stereo. It turned out to be that the album sounds a bit like a simplified version of EBM, an album that is there to make people cross the bridge from lighter material to the more intense EBM. In “Sindustrial” the stress is mainly on the catchiness and that suits the music, the songs are easy to pick up but you can’t put it aside that the more traditional EBM listeners will be disappointed with this release because of this same fact. Maybe some more depth, some more variation in tempo or anything else to spice it up would safe it all, but for now the album stays a bit behind.
This release is there to build bridges, but most likely it won’t hold their fans very long. As when the bridge is past and the other side is reached, they find a large world of music that tops it.
