Walking With Strangers – Hardship

Releasedate: 18-11-2011; Label: Panic & Action / Soulfood
By: Nina Mende

Walking With Strangers could easily be mistaken for an American band based on their sound but apparently, this progressive hardcore / metalcore hybrid comes from a different country, Sweden, namely from Trollhättan, a small municipality in the southwestern part of the country they have been lauded as one of the most promising young band to be on the rise from the country while listening to their debut EP “Buried Dead And Done” it is not difficult to understand why they have made the intricate melodies.

Their new album “Hardship” is out now and comes with ten tracks. Fast, dark and loud Walking With Strangers comes blasting right at you when pressing play on “Hardship”. Double kick on drums and growled vocals, Walking With Strangers know how to kick ass. Somehow it seems like winter is the time of the year when Scandinavians feel most comfortable and release their albums. So did Walking With Strangers at least. The Swedes released their new album “Hardship” just right when the days get darker and colder. A fact that also reflects on the album. Dark and cold “Hardship” gets you when you least expect it. A wonderful album for all hardcore fans out there. So go get “Hardship” now.
