Stefan Götzer has been known as the bassist of the band Clover before as well as he was a vocalist in the band Astra Kid. Now with Pele Caster he is back on the front of a band. “Wasimmer” is their latest release.
Pele Caster is a singer/songwriter goes Rock formation, but pinning it down to this you must not forget there are also some other influences. Blues here and there, but some electronic parts are included also. All the songs are in German and the voice of Stefan is pleasant to listen to. A little more vocal variation comes when needed when Meike Buettner brings in her voice as well. This variation is most needed after the slowest songs, those you don’t want to listen straight in line as it would go on too long. The more up tempo songs are the ones where Pele Caster gets their audience with. You can totally imagine these tracks work out great in an intimate live set.
Even though it are mainly the vocals that draw the attention here, it is good to see that the instrumental part serves a decent back up and is not kept too moderate. Surely works for them and adds a little extra. “Wasimmer:” is a nice release for the singer/songwriter fans.
