Kim Wilde is an English pop singer, author and television presenter who burst onto the music scene in 1981 with the number 2 UK Singles Chart new wave classic “Kids in America”. In 1987 she had a major hit in the United States when her version of The Supremes’ classic “You Keep Me Hangin’ On” topped the charts. Starting in 1998, while still active in music, she has branched into an alternative career as a landscape gardener. Now her twelfth album is being released called “Snapshots”.
“Snapshots” is the first cover album by Kim Wilde. “Snapshots” includes fourteen covers from the last five decades, handpicked by Kim Wilde. Fourteen songs all of us know, fourteen songs originally sung by East 17, Sugababes, David Bowie, The Cure, Erasure and various others. Kim Wilde did not pick these songs at random, but each song means something special to her. So this album is something special for Kim Wilde. And for one or the other of you listeners – and readers – as well, I am sure. A collection of some amazing songs that crossed our way at some point in our lives, interpreted by the one and only, Kim Wilde. This album is definitely music history. A beautiful collection. Go get “Snapshots” now.
