Hackneyed is a band from Germany that makes Death Metal. The band exists since 2006 and they are about to release their album “Carnival Caradavre”. This is their third full length release.
Hackneyed was maybe not a band that came in as strongest, but through the years the band grew a lot and so come, that with “Carnival Cadavre” you can find a major progress in their sound again. This mainly in the drums, who seem to get it all right to match with the guitars. Vocals, well maybe not band’s strongest point mainly due to the lyrics being not too divers but in the end you still remain with a filthy sound that does quite well. Ok, they may not have too many exotic trips to something really innovating but with the decent basics is nothing wrong anyway. “Carnival Cadavre” is a release that follows up strongly in line with their previous releases. The band have climbed up musically, maybe not in leap as in the way they will be world famous with this release, but for the fans this is a release that they can enjoy and will bring good live experiences with it. The music seem to give enough opportunities, so perhaps you should just see the band live to cross off any last doubts there may be.
