Kensington Road is a German pop rock band founded by Stefan Tomek in 2004. Their debut album “A Story From Somewhere In Between” was released in 2009. Now their second album is released, two years later, and it is called “The Last Living Giant”.
Holding the album in hand it somehow reminds of Sunrise Avenue’s video “Birds and Bees” with the bunny. Not sure why. Anyway, the cover has somebody dressed as a bunny standing on a hill, holding a huge blue flower in one hand. The background is a lonely city after sunset. Inside the booklet is held in white, with the lyrics and a band picture at the center fold as well as flower part in the corners of the pages. On the back of the booklet is another picture of the entire band holding a gigantic blue flower. The CD has a flower on it too. The new album of Kensington Road called “The Last Living Giant” comes with twelve tracks. The music is very slow and thoughtful, slightly romantic and a typical girls album. Somewhere along bands like Revolverheld, Sunrise Avenue, Stanfour, Simple Minds and Lifehouse is where you can find Kensington Road. The new album “The Last Living Giant” is a nice and calm album, great to chill out to and end the day with. So go get the new album of Kensington Road “The Last Living Giant” now.
