Bodi Bill is an Electro/pop formation from Germany. Their album “What?” is the third one they release.
It is kind of a hard task to find out what to do with Bodi Bill. It’s too soft to dance to it very exuberant. And yet too much going on to use it as a background sound. It is not the most exciting sound ever and this is mainly due the lack of some stronger beats. They tend to be quite experimental making use of all sorts of ‘instruments’ but somehow the vibe is not really coming off. There are projects who have done this before in a more inventive way. Songs like “Garden Dress” or “Hotel” are examples of songs that make you wonder if it still takes long before the album is over and that will never be a good thing. Conclusion too boring to keep you entertained throughout the whole album. The band would with a little adjustments do better to get this album out as a lounge album, it is calm enough for it and it would not be too present when having this playing as a background music while meeting up with some friends, but the album “What?” is not really inviting to get played some more. Not really a winner.
