V.A – Face The Darkness

Releasedate: 31-01-2011; Label: Twisted Flesh Recordings
By: Sabine van Gameren

Twisted Flesh recording comes with a sampler cd. The label have brought a collection of fourteen industrial acts, showcasing the most aggressive music all together.

The sampler shows fourteen different artists, but actually quite matching together. One is a bit opener than the other, but all of them appear to be perfectly danceable. First artist that stands out in this collection is the opener of the album. C-Lekktor brings some speed in it straight away. He is followed up by D-tox that is perhaps a bit more accessible.
One who takes it a bit different is Uberbyte, which brings some more vocals upfront in his song “Hell Alamain”. It’s slightly different than what most of the other artists bring. You get smacked back to the dancefloor by the next artist, Diverje, though. A song that really brings you into a different world where you can surrender yourself to the sound and let your body express the feelings while dancing. The most strange track is coming from Suono. His song “Jungle” is aggressive and has different structure.

Overall the sampler gives you a good view of what Twisted Flesh Recordings has on its roster as well as others in the genre. If you are into this music it is a good chance to discover some of your new favorite artists.
