Stahlmann is a German band from Göttingen founded in 2008. This is their first full-length and self titled debut album.
Eleven tracks are placed on the debut album of Stahlmann. The music is to be placed somewhere between Rammstein, Eisbrecher and maybe even Diary of Dreams. Hard sounds, straight out lyrics with a deep and low voice combined with a little electro. Some songs are catchier than others, some are harsher whereas other songs are softer. All in all it is a dark rock album though, not too hard and not too soft. The songs are about moments in life taken to a deeper level, wrapped in symbols and metaphors but yet again straight out and right into your face. Some lyrics are even a little bit obscene. All lyrics are in German but even if you don’t understand German I am sure you will understand at least the main plot of each song simply through the music and the way the singer uses his voice. The album layout is held in black and silver, just as dark yet shimmering as the music is. Stahlmann is currently touring with Eisbrecher and I am sure we will soon hear a lot more about Stahlmann. Beware!
