Kings of Nuthin’ started playing in the late 90’s in a leaky warehouse using whatever equipment they could dumpster or steal and whoever they could lure in with a couple beers. They think their only real goal was to get some beers by being obnoxious at punk and rockabilly shows since that was pretty much what they were doing before they were a band. They wanted to play traditional rhythm and blues but this is what came out. They have three records and two 7 inches and have played a lot of clubs, bars, car shows, squats, tattoo conventions, parties, VFW halls… They have a new record out in now on Sailors Grave in the US and People Like You in Germany called Old Habits Die Hard”.
The music is somewhere between punk and rockabilly with a little ska. Trumpets complete the sound. Kings of Nuthin’ completed the sound with a little touch of the 60s style. The music is very catchy and fast. Rock’n’Roll at it’s finest. With piano and trumpet the guys add a classical touch to it . The music is meant to dance and mosh along, drink beer to it and have a great time. The album sends out great vibes, energy and fun. You can hear that they are using a stand up bass. On “Silver City” you can hear a female singing as well. “Congratulations” is a very slow song. The special editions comes with a another CD and several bonus tracks. Enjoy.
