Bent Life are relative Midwest Blood veterans, having churned out brute-force hardcore since 2010, but they reach a special zenith on their first full-length. Never Asked for Heaven, produced by Terror’s Nick Jett, showcases the band evolving into an aggressive powerhouse with clarity and precision, capable of thudding riffs and surprisingly memorable, gutting hooks. Inspired by Pantera’s harsh groove and Hatebreed’s tightly performed bulldoze, Bent Life have emerged from a long writing process revitalized and better than ever.
Their brand new album “Never Asked For Heaven” comes with ten songs and comes blasting right at you after pressing play. Heavy and strong music is pushing you along on this release. Each song is pushing into the next. The arrangements and the pace do not leave you a break to catch a breath in between. “Never Asked For Heaven” includes shouted vocals only. With an slightly aggressive touch, the music causes your adrenaline level to rise.
Bent Life has a new album out. “Never Asked For Heaven” is the name of their newest baby. Grab a beer, some of your buddies and play this album loud. Let your neighbors hear this piece of music. Shout and rage along. Bent Life is asking for it with this album.
