Man as PlaguesMan As Plague was the starter of the evening. The guys are a Metalcore formation from Netherlands and they formed in 2011. As a starter they leave no time go to waste by bringing in some energy. This energy mainly from their frontman which does not need a stage but is happy to be in front of it, being closer to the audience. Maybe a bit too close as people left some distance.  The songs are intensive but it is a pity that in this way of performing the rest of the band is a bit left out while they could bring total chaos there if they get it going as a unit.

ColapsoUp next was Colapso from Ecuador. They had some technical issues during their show which took the tempo out of it and that was a bit of a pity because it is music you like to get into, but takes some time to get into. It does not hit right away and therefore the breaks were unfortunate. Of course themselves they would have like to do different as well. During the songs,  there is plenty to enjoy though. Some great riffage and heavy vocals are bringing you to the core of it and the surprise with this band is, that you keep listening no matter what had been breaking it up. Sadly enough the band is not complete due to visa issues, but we were happy to be able to see some of it here today.

KhromaKhroma is releasing “Stasis” at the moment, the latest full length of the Finns is out now and also a main factor in their performance tonight. The band is energetic and has no trouble by getting the audience into the venue even though they play somewhat late.  As a setlist the band did have a focus on the new album but played also some of their notorious ones of their debut album. What they have in common is the unique Khroma-factor, the melodic versus the hardness, the vehemence. “The Push” is one of the songs that stands out. It’s hard to stand still with that one playing and so no problem with getting energetic about it. And it simply sticks in mind easily, a great song to get the crowd going as well.

Khroma’s return to Acu is great success, with a new album and new fans ont heir hand their tour continues. Get your chance to see them now!
