After a weekend with the family, what is a better way to spend the Easter Monday than to go see a show? Tonight An Early Cascade and Blackout Problems rocked all the pounds away one might have gained over the holidays. The visitors at tonight’s show were quite young and super excited to see this show. The small venue was packed with energetic teenagers that wanted to jump around, dance and have a good time.
And they would. An Early Cascade was opening the night. An Early Cascade is a five piece from Stuttgart, playing modern post-hardcore. So rock music with electronic samples and catchy melodies. And these melodies did catch the audience. Soon after the guys had started playing, the audience went along, danced and sang to the songs. Having a blast. The band highly appreciated it and thanked everyone for coming out.
After a song where the band had asked the audience to jump along, one in the audience complained that the song was too slow to jump along to and demanded a faster one. So the singer asked this person – who was a girl – and her friend to come up on stage to jump in front of the audience for them to follow. And they did. Soon everyone was jumping again and the girls ended the song with stage diving.
The boys from Stuttgart played for about some thirty minutes. Catchy songs and all to dance along to. The guitar player of An Early Cascade was adding some metal growling to some songs. Each song was absolutely passionate and got the audience to enjoy every minute.
Now it was time for the main act of the evening: Blackout Problems. Blackout Problem is a German rock band that was founded in 2012. Their latest album “Holy” was released in February and the band is now touring with this album. The venue was getting filled with fog from the back of the venue. Slowly crawling up to the stage.
The audience was instantly going along to the music. From the very second the guys entered the stage. Most kids could sing along to the songs, cheering and jumping. Blackout Problems demanded them to stage dive, and the fans did. One after another was stepping up on stage, jumping into the audience, touching the ceiling.
The small venue was heating up quickly. But there was no time to take a break. The band was pushing the audience to move with their music. From circle pit to dance floor, this show brought along a lot of motion. For one song everyone was sitting down, and the audience would not let the band begin to play until the last person was getting down.
It was a brilliant show by Blackout Problems. Absolutely energetic and passionate. The band could not stop thanking their crew and fans for getting the opportunity to play here. A touching night with two amazing bands. Make sure to check them out when they hit town.
