Grim Van Doom is a doom metal band from Wuppertal, Germany. The band was founded in 2011 and have released three albums so far. “Grim Love” is their third and latest release.
The album comes with eight tracks and lasts for about forty minutes. After pressing play, the distorted guitar, heavy beating on the drum and growled vocals come blasting right at you. The music has a nice rhythm to slowly bang your head along. The music on “Grim Love” is very dark and gloomy. While listening to this album, you get the impression of clouds gathering above you. The rhythms of each song stay steady throughout the songs. No changes in pace or speed. This way the music to get you in a sort of trance. Almost hypnotizing.
