Brody Dalle is an Australian-born singer-songwriter and guitarist. She is perhaps best known as the lead singer and guitarist of punk rock band The Distillers and later alternative rock band Spinnerette.

She currently is on her solo path and has now released her debut album “Diploid Love”. This release comes with nine songs. All absolutely powerful and passionate. Brody Dalle has a very strong voice and a unique one as well. But Brody Dalle is not only an impressive vocalist, but also her songs are straight from the heart, sent out to touch yours. On “Diploid Love” Brody rocks out and gets you going along, but she also warms your heart with slower songs to which you can sway along to. on “I Don’t Need Your Love”, which is one of the songs you can sway along to, you can hear a baby scream in between the verses. Nine songs is pretty short for an album but these nine songs on “Diploid Love” are far more than just convincing and definitely make this album outstanding. A must have not only for punk rock fans, The Distillers or Spinnerette lovers or Brody Dalle idolizers. If you are a fan of good music, this album should be yours to love and spread the word about. “Diploid Love” is out now.
