Vitne is a Glam Rock singer into Visual Rock style. Inspired by artists such as Billy Idol, Mötley Crüe and Japanese artists X Japan and GACKT, he found his way of making an album. It is called “Neon” and is out now.
For the release of this album Vitne is accompanied with guitarist Julian Angel. Furthermore there are more computer generated touches that make Vitne what it is. It does stand a bit apart from a genre that is filled with a lot of similar new artists. With a good eye for catchiness the album is filled with tracks that stick easily, but the song structures are a bit more challenging perhaps. With some great riffs involved the whole gets lifted to the next level and that makes the album suit a wider audience. As the whole has a bit pop edge, those give the sound a bit sharper edge and a stronger body.
Songs that stand out on the album are “Silhouette” for its calm approach and perhaps a bit more mellow feeling which breaks the album a bit, opening you up for the more energetic tracks like “Cruisin’” and “Fire”.
Overall you could safely get this album if the Melodic Rock or Glam is your thing. The album shows Vitne with his own face, a strong enough reason to check that album out!
