“Wagner Reloaded Live in Leipzig” is the name of Apocalyptica’s latest release. Apocalyptica is a Finnish quartet that plays cello. Sometimes they invite guest vocalists to sing to their compositions.
Apocalyptica is playing covers as eel as their own compositions. With their cellos they are not only playing classic music, but they also play metal such as Metallica. As the name states “Wagner Reloaded Live in Leipzig” is a live album and Gregor Seyffert’s remake of Wagner compositions, so a classic piece of music. On this album – and live show – Apocalyptica has worked together with the MDR Symphony Orchestra. When listening to this album you can hear the crowd cheering and clapping in the background. The only vocals you hear are baby sounds on “Bubbles”. Apocalyptica have added a slight metal touch to Wagner’s compositions, like a signature of Apocalyptica. But it fits in perfectly well and makes this music history much more interesting and modern so that even people that are not into classic music will love it.
“Wagner Reloaded Live in Leipzig” includes fourteen songs with a total duration of almost sixty minutes. This album is a beautiful piece of classic music with a touch of metal. A must check out for all fans of good music.
