The band The Bridal Procession has been formed in 2007. The band is based in France and makes Death Metal. “Astronomical Dimensions” is the band’s debut full length release.
The band starts quite strong and aggressive with this album. They leave no hesitation up to what they do and shake you right awake if you haven’t been prepared for this. They have a modern approach, leaving up the past for what it is, not even slightly giving you a chance to miss it. Brutality is all over it. This is also their weakness though. You can hear the band has it skills, but somehow they did not manage to leave an impression. Simply because this music is not really something new under the sun and the compositions in the album do not stand out within their own track list. This would basically the only thing that they could change, because with the skills of the musicians, the brutality and a well balanced production this album is basically one that is not unpleasant to listen to. If the band manage to bring in some more personality, a little more of The Bridal Procession self, they would be a band that could actually surprise many metal fans.
