The Finnish Khroma is back on another European tour and with them are Enhet. Today the band was hitting the stage in Utrecht and some local bands joined.

New World DisorderThe first band playing was New World Disorder. It was also one of the very last opportunities to see the band live as they were on their final shows before break up. It brought some friends and fans and a few dedicated family members (as it seemed) around. The band makes Hardcore metal with a familiar taste. Perhaps some Born From Pain, some All That Remains and many other familiar names may come by. Though for the type of music they seem to be a bit tame regardless it is one of their last shows. With some more energy and a bit more of an own face it would have crossed another level, but now just did not stick out too much.

Agents of EntropyAgents of Entropy takes you on a deeper trip. With their powerful songs the band captivates people. It does not really hit at first, it is typically a band you need to give some time as they built up to that highlight. The vocals are minimum as the whole revolves around the instrumental mass that they deliver. The band does not play a long set but brings variety in it, so they manage to give their audience a view of what they are up to. Perhaps for a longer show the guys could think of something extra, maybe video art to strengthen their message.

EnhetEnhet from Latvia shows themselves a true live band as they are very energetic from the beginning towards the end. They know when to hold back and when to bring it up all again which makes the whole show entertaining to experience.
And an experience it is. The guys like to show off their technical side and without having it come too close to Mathcore and its chaos for it seems always quite clear in what direction Enhet is sending you. The surprising elements are dfound in how the band plays with the audience, which seemed a bit timid, rather giving some space up front for those who are about to go wild. Yet all get engaged and the show ends with their wildest rage.

KhromaThe Finnish formation Khroma was headlining the night and with their experimental metal they were certainly of interest there. Eccentric they are, having these electric elements often creating a little mysterious edge before the rage and energy burst out. The band released their album “Collapse” earlier this year which was the main focus of the set.

During the performance the songs seem to become more and more energetic and while some were taking up the space to enjoy it wildly others gave them the space and observed it calmly. However, they may come closer to them than expected in a sense that the music is grabbing your attentions with its oddities and captivate you with a little bit of catchiness in it where you would not expect it. Then also because one of the band members came off the stage to come a little closer and give “closer” a more literal meaning.
As closer the band plays “A Vessel To Steer” which simply summarizes what the band is about.

Altogether the evening was a wild one in ACU, a diversity of bands brought the people together and created a great atmosphere.
