Dead By April and Beyond All Recognition are on the road and share the stage of de Kelder in Amersfoort (Netherlands).

Beyond All Recognition has a fan base of its own here tonight, no wonder that the party breaks loose right away. The Dub Core the band makes seem to please the young audience that gathered tonight and mosh pits are just underlining the band’s popularity.

The music has always a little touch with something danceable. Keeps the party mood alive. Also, the band really has a nationalistic side of them. A cover of Swedish House Maffia’s “I Wanna Know Your Name” is played and when the set is ending there is a the music of Europe’s “The Final Countdown” to be heard. Seems like the guys see themselves as ambassadors of the Swedish music. Good that the band plays around with this party thing but at the end of the set you have seen it all. You think that at some point the guys would step it up and go bit harder, but they are not doing that. If the set was longer it would have been a problem, now they end it right in time, leaving the fans with a positive vibe over it all.

Dead By April has a history of cancelling/postponing concerts. Would they be there this time or would something come in between again? Luckily the band is there tonight and after having a so called eat and greet with some fans they are now also to be seen on stage.

The front rows are filled with die-hard fans. The gossip is mainly about frontman Jimmie who is no longer in the band and Christoffer which recently joined. How would he impress the fans? It does not really seem to be a hard task for the man. The fans built on the familiar sound of the songs they know and the strong basis set by the rest of the band. The guys all seem to be close with their fans, making constantly contact with them, which gives the newbie the chance to focus on his vocals a bit more. Must be said, the man suits in this band, his sound matches very well with Zandro Santiago with whom he shares his vocal duties.

A dedicated fan base is hardly ever disappointed and the venue is pretty filled tonight with fans who give them a warm welcome. The band has played a good show and shows that that they are worth this dedication they received here tonight.
