The French trio Eclectika is back with a new release. It is called “Lure of Ephemeral Beauty” and it is out now.
At the previous release of this band we had quite some remarks to make. They seem convinced that this release will make a better impression at us by sending this to us. The album appears to be a bit spacey, too obvious as you look at the cover but the ambience of the music hints to that direction, must be said that works well gives you a relaxed feeling while listening. The effects used are now surely more suitable to the music and actually add to that atmosphere a lot. Then the point that broke it mostly at their previous release: vocals. Yes, the band clearly improved on this part as well. It is kept moderate at first but then yet again the female voices are missing it. It must be said there is a step forward but yet again these are not the highlight of the album at all, such a shame.
Overall the band has made some progress, “Lure of Ephemeral Beauty” is a much more pleasant album than its predecessor. Maybe you will not completely blow you away but this one will not be catching dust either.
