Yellowcard returned to the spotlight in 2011 after a three-year hiatus with the energized “When You’re Through Thinking, Say Yes”. The album was a renaissance of sorts for the Jacksonville natives, as its 10 tracks played out like the band never spent any time apart.
A logical progression from 2007’s “Paper Walls”, the group managed to capture elements of its entire discography with the album, which was welcomed by patient fans and praised by critics alike. “When You’re Through Thinking, Say Yes” inspired a winding nine months of touring that took the band to over thirty different countries, a world tour that served as a reconnection with old, diehard fans and an instant way to reach new, younger listeners. Now Yellowcard has a new album released called “Southern Air”. Yet another album full of positivity and hope. An album full of authentic songs about life, love and loss that everyone can relate to. Wonderful melodies brightening your life, not only while you are listening to this album but also beyond the last second of it. Ten songs, passionate as ever, coming from Yellowcard but passionate as almost never when thinking of today’s hip bands. The violin adds a certain depth and seriousness to each song, almost as if the violin would add a soul to each songs and bring it to life. Simply wonderful and touching. Yellowcard’s new album “Southern Air” is out now and a must have for simply everyone. Beautiful music, beautiful voice and awesome lyrics. Smell the southern air Yellowcard brings to your home and check it out. Also don’t miss them live as they will definitely blow your mind.
