Daimon is Finnish formation that started in 2008. The band makes Melodic Rock music with a commercial edge. They just released their album called “Daimon”.
The band has created an album that is filled with catchy tunes. Quite light vocals that are bringing varied ranges throughout the album. It’s good to see that they experiment a bit with that. The guitars in the sound stay quite moderate in the sound. Only some occasional outbreaks, a small solo that comes in, but not too dominant. It must be said that the solos are a bit predictable, but they are performed and placed well into the music.
What is a bit of downside is that the strongest tracks are all at the start of the album which results that after a while your attention fades away a bit, but there is definitely some chart material to be found in this album. Think a bit of Poets of the Fall and you feel exactly in what directions the band can still grow. They could elaborate it all a bit more and then a true killer album would be there. They are on the right way, the catchy tunes fetch your attention, but longs to stick a bit longer.
