The Prodigy are a British electronic music group formed by Liam Howlett in 1990, in Braintree, Essex, England. Along with Fatboy Slim, The Chemical Brothers and The Crystal Method, as well as other acts they are pioneers of the big beat electronic dance genre which achieved mainstream popularity in the 1990s, and are known for high-quality live sets. They have sold over 16 million records worldwide which is unequalled in dance music history. Now they are finally back with their fifth studio album called “Invaders Must Die”.
Listening to this CD makes every floor I am on a dancefloor, no matter what I am doing. The beats on this album, the melodies and rythms just make you go along. It seems like you have no other choice. The lyrics just as tricky and you find yourself singing along. No matter what others say, I love this The Prodigy album and wouldn’t want to miss it in my collection. The singles “Invaders Must Die” and “Omen” are the ones that are released so far and you hear them on MTV the entire time, that’s probably why they stick out to you. But the songs “Piranha”, “Thunder” and “Stand Up” are just as great. “Invaders Must Die” is a thriving album, getting you into a happy mood and all hyper ready to jump along. The Prodigy still rock the masses and I hope I’ll get to see them live some day.
