Evergrey is a Swedish Progressive Metal band. They were founded in 1996 and the band made quite some albums during the years. This year their eighth full length studio release “Glorious Collision” got out. The band also released a DVD which sold over 10.000 copies in Sweden. The band now releases a Best of double album “A Decade And A Half”.
These greatest hits releases are always great for people who don’t know a band and quickly want to get an idea of what they are up to. With the release of these Swedes it is not different. But besides that this album is just a collection of previously released material the band have included some live material as well. Some that comes from their DVD but two tracks are unplugged and previously unreleased. The two discs are giving a nice mix of the best songs the band have released and therefor you simply enjoy listening it, hardly any song falls back compared to the rest. It may have been an idea to put all the live tracks together at one disc, but maybe this brings a surprise in the track list.
The band shows the world what they have done the past years and may we hope another decade and a half, at least, will be added to their legacy.
