We Are the Lilies came about when Parisian David Sztanke sent a CD by his band Tahiti Boy & The Palmtree Family to Sergio Dias, the leader of Brazilian Tropicalismo legends Os Mutantes. A year later, they collaborated on this dizzying outburst of experimental rococo pop, in which Dias’s renegade psychedelic leanings find oddly comfortable lodging in The Palmtree Family’s lush musical settings.
Their newest release is called “We Are The Lillies”. Eleven tracks that are groovy and easy going. Music that you can totally chill out and relax to. We Are The Lilies definitely get you sway along as well with their new album “We Are The Lillies”. Their indie music has an interesting groove that is telling stories. Each song has a lot to discover, and not only whether a banjo, a trumpet or whatever is being used, but far beyond that as well. Let We Are The Lilies take you on a happy and sunny yet mysterious island and get you into an explorer mood. This album is spreading a positive vibe. French, Portuguese and English lyrics are mixed together. “Marie” is a beautiful piano ballade, simply beautiful. A summer album released in the cold winter days: Get the new release of Sergio Dias “We Are The Lillies” and get ready for the sun!
