Thrash Metal formation Sole Method is formed in 2006. The band comes from Austria and “The Way Of The Descent” is the second full length release from the guys.
The band has a modern approach of Thrash, which seem to work out quite well. Somehow there is a little catchiness but in never replaces the vehemence of the guitars. Because they are quite present and the riffs are not ending up in the stereotype, the cliché, but turn out to be more surprising than you could ever predict. But what comes as a main attraction are the drums. Wildan, the drummer, keeps it pounding and leaves an impression. He clearly doesn’t sign up to disappear in the background but shows his musical face quite well in the mix. However, a whole composition the band did maybe not invent a new wheel, but a wagon needs more than one to ride. The musicians show they have the skills and created an album that can be listened quite some times before you feel like you have heard enough. More of something that works out well, seems in this case not exactly a punishment. There is enough Sole Method left behind what you might recognize of other names and “The Way Of The Decent” is a good release for the Austrians.
