The third album of the German underground band Genetiks is out now and is called “Schwarzbuch Deutscher Postpunk”.

Ten songs are packed onto this album. The lyrics are all in German. The music is somewhere between electro punk and retro punk. Fast and funky tunes come right at you when pressing play on this album. The lyrics are about life itself wrapped up in some symbols. The album contains a strong bass line. The album layout is very retro as well. Old fashion wallpapers and three guys painted all brown to look like Africans is what the cover is all about. The booklet basically goes by the same layout. The lyrics are included and the main colors are black, white and yellow. “Schwarzbuch Deutscher Postpunk” is a strange album that is definitely different. An album that is definitely not something for everybody but definitely worth a quick look at the very least. Long story short, this album is basically about the life out there as it is but also reminds you to not take things too serious at all times. All wrapped up in some funk arrangements is all it is.
