Horned Almighty is a Black Metal band coming from Denmark. The band is formed in 2002 and they currently releasing their fifth album “Necro Spirituals”.
The band has a typical old school approach. Hear these Thrash elements and you know where the band is coming from. Though, for this album they choose quite a modern way of producing which give their sound an extraordinary touch. What stands out in this sound is their balancing. Drums seem quite aggressive but remained perfectly in the back when needed and only step forward on those moments it is needed. This counts also for the rest of the instruments. Vocals are little step a little ahead of them but seems to match with the music as it should. The passionate “Necro Spirituals” (the song) is the first one on the album but immediately gives you an idea what the band is all about and it has something addicting. The album is over, but you feel like hearing more. Luckily the band have already made four albums before this release, cause this album gives plenty reasons to dig into the past discography of the band to see if there is more like this to find. “Necro Spirituals” is a very convincing album, a good release.
