16-10-2010 Roman Fischer

Supports: Missent To Denmark; Venue: Café Central, Weinheim (Germany)
By: Nina Mende

How could a Saturday night be spent any better than in the sweet Café Central in Weinheim watching two great bands perform? Several people thought so too yet it still wasn’t too crowded which made the evening even more intimate and personal to each and everyone at Café Central in Weinheim tonight. The two bands playing were Missent To Denmark and Roman Fischer.

The first band was Missent To Denmark: Four German guys from Bavaria sharing their music with everyone at Café Central tonight. Independent and deep thoughts wrapped into sweet melodies that everyone enjoyed listening to. There was not much movement on stage but you could tell that the band was still passionate about their music. Missent To Denmark appreciated the audience’s support. For half an hour the four guys from Bavaria shared their deepest thoughts with us, deep thoughts that they put into their songs. Hard to describe, but listening to this music you felt connected in one way or another. Everyone enjoyed it a lot and appreciated the music.
Up next was Roman Fischer. Roman Fischer is a German singer/songwriter that has just released his third album in July. Now he was on tour through Germany followed by some support shows for Hurts. This Saturday night in Weinheim was the last night of the headline tour. Overwhelming sound and music, even better than it was on CD left everyone speechless. It took the audience a while to get speech or at least reactions back, but then they cheered after the songs from the bottom of their heart. A warm and familiar atmosphere was filling up Café Central. With a strong and clear voice Roman Fischer played old and new songs accompanied by his band. It was a wonderful show that everybody enjoyed a whole lot. Roman was talking to the audience, showing his thankfulness and appreciation; in return he and the band received applause and a whole lot of appreciation. This evening was simply wonderful. Roman played guitar and piano, sometimes he sang only. The stage was too little to move around too much, the light was dim and the show was brilliant. It could not have been any better. The crowd could have been bigger of course, but maybe that was the puzzle piece that made this intimate little show into a perfect night out. Roman Fischer is not only a wonderful musician on CD, he is also a gorgeous live musician. Make sure to check out his music.
