A Wednesday night in Cologne and what is better than to spend it at Luxor? Love Amongst Ruin was playing there tonight.
Unfortunately not many people found their way to Luxor tonight. Two bands were to play for the little crowd tonight. Love Amongst Ruined supported by the German band Kinzki. The local band Kinzki was founded in 2005. An indie rock band that appreciated to perform their songs tonight in front of an audience, playing for half an hour, closely watched by the people. Kinzki did a great show, you could tell they were having fun. Kinzki connected to the audience right away, talked to them quite a lot during their show time. The dim light gave the whole show an even stronger feeling of being a living room show at your home. Kinzki was a great band to check out that night. Followed by Love Amongst Ruin.

Love Amongst Ruin is the brain child of Steve Hewitt, ex-drummer and songwriter in the multi-million selling Placebo. Love Amongst Ruin is a UK-six piece, very instrumental and music loving. All are very passionate to music and love what they’re doing, and they definitely loved playing together this night. They seemed very spontaneous on songs. The show was very intimate. Steven was telling the audience quite a lot, doing jokes and spreading a good mood. Love Amongst Ruin played many tracks off their current album. Interesting music, some songs slow others were more danceable, but definitely interesting and different. Love Amongst Ruin is not like anything else you have ever heard or seen before. Special in its own way and hard to describe Love Amongst Ruin took your breath away for an hour straight including encore. A wonderful evening with definitely awesome music you should check out. Maybe this was the last time to see this band in such a small venue. Love Amongst Ruin is a gorgeous band and this Wednesday in Cologne was an awesome night.
