Moon – Lucifer's Horns

Releasedate: 15-09-2010; Label: Witching Hour
By: Sabine van Gameren

It seems to be a trend, digging up those bands that have been splitted up before to let them make another record. This time the Polish Moon is on it who got together after 10 years of silence. “Lucifer’s Home” is the name of the baby that must restore their love.

As if you wonder whether it is a commercial idea to get these bands on the road again, or is it really that they just somehow thought they wanted to play under that name again is to question. Fact is, in Moon there is vocalist Cezar, who is anno 2010 working with musicians that were not used in the project before so a true re-uniting is not really the case here. But even though not all of this digging is as much as a great outcome as the other, in the case of Moon there is not much to complain. They present a sharp collection of Black Metal tracks, bringing a blast beat all over, a decent instrumental package and on the vocal side pretty much what we could expect. Not much more, not much less. Shows that there are truly things buried at that metal graveyard which should not have been buried yet. Moon is one that could have been here for a while, so let’s see how long we can enjoy their music.
