Brendan Perry (born 30 June 1959 in Whitechapel, London) is a singer and multi-instrumentalist best known for his work as the male half of the duo, Dead Can Dance, with Lisa Gerrard. his fourth album in general but second solo album “Ark” is now released.

Brendan Perry has an awesome voice, very clear and emotional. The music is slightly psychedelic. The sound is big and the lyrics are deep, floating along in the seas of your soul. The album is walking on a line between a darker side and the happiness. It sways back and forth between both but it sounds like actually it is trying to stay in-between. This struggle for balance makes the sound even more interesting. Even though the album just includes only eight songs, the total duration is about 50 minutes, which is a common average for full length albums! Brendan Perry plays psychedelic country on this album – that’s how I would call it if I had to name the genre – but it also has a little touch of electro. The music is very slow and thoughtful. It will definitely touch you and be branded in your memory. Enjoy Brendan Perry’s new album “Ark”.
