Colin Moore is a Canadian singer / songwriter hailing from Montreal, Quebec. His raspy voice began to gain him attention at an early age, and by his mid-teens Colin was fronting his first punk band, Suburban Trash, later known as Road Bones. Now he is on a solo path and relesed his debut album “Leaving Home”.
“Leaving Home” is a pure country album and has ‘em all: Sad songs, happier songs, fast and slow ones, even an aggressive one! Mostly this album is laid back though. “Leaving Home” has serious lyrics about life and it’s ups and downs. The smoky voice scarifies the smooth acoustic guitar playing and points out to the rough and edgy sides of life. Full of pure emotions Colin sings his soul out. Awesome strong voice and soft music, great arrangements of country instruments such as harmonica and I even think I can hear a banjo and a zither in the music.”3 Fat Pills” is the aggressive drug song on this album. “Red Head Girls” leave a little guess about Colin’s punk background. A fast danceable saloon song with western guitar is breaking up the laid back sound the album had so far and also ends the album with a big bang. “Leaving Home” is an amazing album I fell in love with right away.
