The Norwegian band Kvelertak has been around since 2007. Their debut full length is out out now and it called: “Kvelertak”.
Even if you don’t speak Norwegian this band might surprise you with the catchiness of their music. You can expect a combination of Metal and Punk. Catchy guitar riffs, you can dance along with it as if it is a typical Folk metal band. Social Metal you could say. The type of music that makes everyone happy and take a beer to enjoy it. It must be said that the music is perhaps to energetic to keep the beer from spilling while enjoying this in a live situation. The band brings you three guitarists, so that explains a lot. Hearing the drums in combination with the riffs strangely remembered me to some filthy 80’s glam rock band and with all these different influences there actually comes something that surprises me. The band brings enough refreshing in the music world, it does not really sound like the next one in line. Eleven songs are on this album and it taste like more. Whether it is live or recorded. These Norwegians have brought a good album, surprising and refreshing and it is only their debut.
Let’s see what more comes from that.
