Vince Neil hardly needs an introduction. He is known as being the lead singer of the band Mötley Crüe. His live has been exposed in every media world wide. “Tattoos & Tequila” is the latest release coming from his hands.
Mötley Crüe fans can certainly buy this without hesitating, but they probably did not have doubts of that anyway. Vince comes with catchy, good old rock n roll as we are used to and can expect from him. Maybe not much of a surprise, but certainly not unwanted. What comes out clearly is the clean production of this album. It misses a little bit of dirt that you hoped for, but perhaps this is all just a little detail. On the album there are covers of all bands associated with the scene but before you let yourself hold back, be aware that it is not an album that knows covers of just biggest hits. All songs are fine songs, just not those that covered over and over again, which makes the album interesting in some way. Also, Vince have two new songs that complete this album. As he stated himself: “This album has nothing to do with Motley Crue, Tattoos and Tequila is basically my life”. When hearing the album, you realize that people seem to know quite a lot of Vince already.
You can hear that Vince enjoyed making this record and that these songs are really who he is and where he stands for. A great album to have!
