Supports: Vigilante; Venue: Dynamo, Eindhoven (Netherlands)

An Industrial evening was planned in Dynamo, Eindhoven (Netherlands). Jesus and The Gurus was headlining and Vigilante is their support.
Interesting to know that only a few days after uploading the WGT review by colleague Nina, who wrote about her good experiences with the band Vigilante it would be my turn to see this band. With good expectations The evening starts and the Chilean band played a set for the few people that went out of the wonderful weather into the basement of this building for some industrial. The band is quite active, but they only have a small stage to play today, so their vocalist decided to jump of stage and walk into the venue for a bit as well. The power of this band seems to be in their excellent way of convincing you to believe their causes. No matter where you are located in the venue the band gives the impression they look you in the eyes personally and address you. They got some people dancing during their set and they played some songs of their forthcoming album. A good show, that might come out even more interesting on a larger stage. With “Freedom” the band goes and it is to hope that the band will return for some more European gigs as although this evening turned out to be small, the potential in them is to play for larger audiences.
That being said Jesus and The Gurus had something to set down, but what counted for Vigilante also counts for them. They come with a different caliber, a different sort of show, but the guys from Switzerland are a size to big for this stage too. Song of their album “Blood, Sweat and Tears” seems to be recognized mostly. The band has been around since 1994 already and they call themselves ‘The Pride of Switzerland’, which is quite a line to put yourself on. Also older material was played and the band spreads their darkness well, some people not knowing exactly what to start in the beginning but towards the end being more able to get people going. They have various elements in their show that you can be surprised about, but it comes too fast to keep your head onto it and it is more up to the audience to decide to surrender to it or being intimidated by it. At the end vocalist Son ov David wears a bomb belt, giving another cynical reference to world problems.
When the last song is played many people were a bit surprised about it, looking around if it was really over, probably still processing everything they have seen. Nevertheless, the band brought an entertaining show. Too bad for those who in need of a little sun, they missed out of a good show.
