Imicus is a Brittish band that formed in 2005. After releasing a single that got some fame it is now time for a full length album. “Animal Factory” is its name.
This band chooses a path that lies a bit in the bushes, far from what we are used to in metal. Exploring some new fields, but with the ability to make you feel as comfortable as it is the road you drive every day. From the first song on there is a decent dose of energy and optimism in the music. The British guys make sure there is something to listen to. Calmer parts switched with more aggressive parts accompanied by riffs that seem to take a background position at first, slowly building up the tension till the climax is reached and then it’s time to get upfront and show these skills in their own way. All instrumentals have a good place in the music.
The album finishes quite strong with a couple of songs that make a deep impression. If you listen to the albums multiple times you start to get to know it even better and open up for it. Maybe this album does not always comes with love at first sight but it has quite some potential.
