The Italian Evangelou Gerassimos comes to light with his third release “Of Beauty and Madness”.

Lord Agheros is still fresh in mind, the album “As A Sin” out of 2008, is one that randomly plays in Tempelores office every once and a while. With this much appreciated album on his name, there are some expectations set for this third release. More than happy, I can tell that “Of Beauty And Sadness” is just a pearl as much as its predecessor. Melancholy, darkness depressive but also a bit of hope can be found in this album, making it ambient very listenable. Instrumental mix is all arranged by Evangelou himself, showing here that he grew since the last album. The songs fill each other in, the album comes together as a one piece and sound complete. A lot of extra’s have been used. Sounds that did not always need to be there for the music, but maybe represent the story that its maker want to share. It’s not too much of an interrupting factor, it never comes close to being a soundtrack of a movie for example, it sticks just with the idea to create a piece of music that represents moody atmospheres and gives the idea of being a reflection of someone’s feelings.
This album is one to enjoy, a perfect one in line for Lord Agheros
