InnerCity Grit records is a quite young company from Bristol, UK. The label started in 2008 to break free from “the current dinosaur operations that are in motion in the music industry at the moment”. The label has band signed from UK as well as from The Netherlands. They released a second sampler: “2nd Transmission”.

Some of the names on this sampler have been seen before, on the first edition and some names you might recognize as being one of the bands that have been playing at festival De Bestuiving.
The first band is Illusion, a British band that, might appear a bit timid at first. A remarkable choice but you can consider it as the intro to this disc. It’s got followed up by the band Rock In Your Pocket from Bristol which got some more punch in their sound. There’s getting more electro in, when you get to the song “We Are The Illusion” contributed by Viso Nero. It’s a long one, having some dark vibes in it, would do great in an Industrial scene also. The band that surprised most at De Bestuiving festival, The Black Light Parade, is also represented. Towards the end, this sampler gets more energetic with bands like Wave Zero and Cradle FC. The definitely got the intensity going. Eventually it closes with The Black Bloc, which is a bit calmer at first bit works towards a climax at the end of the song.
